Welcome to Capacity ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application ("App") handles your information.

Capacity is designed with a privacy-first approach. We believe your health data is deeply personal and should remain under your control at all times.

2. Information We Access

Capacity requests permission to read specific health data from your device's health platform:

On iOS (Apple Health / HealthKit)

  • Sleep Analysis: Sleep duration, sleep stages (REM, deep, core), and time in bed
  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV): RMSSD measurements recorded during sleep
  • Resting Heart Rate: Your resting heart rate measurements
  • Step Count: Daily step totals
  • Active Energy Burned: Active calories from Apple Watch or compatible wearable

On Android (Health Connect)

  • Sleep Sessions: Sleep duration and sleep stages
  • Heart Rate Variability: RMSSD measurements
  • Resting Heart Rate: Your resting heart rate measurements
  • Steps: Daily step counts
  • Active Calories Burned: Active energy from connected wearables

Important: Capacity only reads data from these health platforms. We never write, modify, or delete any of your health records.

3. How We Use Your Data

All data processing happens exclusively on your device. Specifically, we use your health data to:

  • Calculate your daily Battery score (0–100)
  • Analyze sleep quality and duration
  • Evaluate heart rate variability patterns
  • Assess physical recovery based on activity levels
  • Generate personalized insights and recommendations
  • Track trends over time (stored locally on your device)

4. Data Storage

Here's where your data lives:

  • Health data: Remains in Apple Health or Health Connect. We read it when you open the app but don't copy it elsewhere.
  • Calculated scores and preferences: Stored locally on your device using SQLite.
  • Subscription status: Managed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store, not by us.

We do not have servers. There is no cloud storage, no databases, and no external systems that receive your data. Everything stays on your device.

5. Data We Do NOT Collect

To be absolutely clear, we do NOT collect, store, transmit, or have access to:

  • Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
  • Your health metrics or calculated scores
  • Your location data
  • Your device identifiers
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Any form of tracking or advertising data

6. Third-Party Services

Apple HealthKit (iOS)

We access HealthKit data with your explicit permission. Your HealthKit data is protected by iOS security and is never shared with us.

Health Connect (Android)

We access Health Connect data with your explicit permission. Your data remains protected by Android's security model.

App Store / Google Play (Subscriptions)

If you subscribe to Capacity PRO, your payment is processed by Apple or Google. We receive only a confirmation of active subscription — we never see payment details or billing information.

7. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone because we don't have access to it. There are no advertising partners, no data brokers, no analytics companies.

8. Children's Privacy

Capacity is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you through the app or by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
